A fantastic performance

”’Stáinnak’ is political theatre and that is uncommon today” says director Victoria Kahn. Kahn has used comedy in generous proportions in her directing of the characters, such as the Snake, the Rat Police and Golden Beetle, while Great Mother also has a duality that is frightening. The fairy cousins Blue and Red have a light, dancing and “fairy-like” expression, in a fine contrast to the “earthly” characters.
The auditorium was packed at the school performance on Thursday and the premiere on Friday. The children were concentrated on what was happening on the stage and thoroughly enjoying themselves together with the grownups. Afterwards members of the audience expressed joy that Beaivváš has now staged a comedy for all ages.
